The Butterfly Effect

Sewickley-based architect and interior designer James Mohn contemplates an exotic butterfly he brought home from Paris, and its intense, shimmering palette inspires what he hopes will be his next kitchen design. “Nature isn’t really neutral, so timeless natural choices don’t have to be beige and brown,” he says. “They can be rich in color and texture and still result in a comfortable and grounded place to live your wonderful life. Pictured here is a blending of two concepts, one rich and the other ethereal. I’m ready to help my clients choose a direction.”
